Free
A TypeAside account includes 2,000 hosted words per week. The allowance resets Monday at 00:00 UTC. Words are counted from the transcription before cleanup, so the count can differ from the final pasted text.
When the allowance is used, later hosted transcription requests are blocked until the reset or an upgrade. A request already in progress can finish above the limit.
Pro
Pro includes unlimited hosted words with an active subscription:
- $12 per month with monthly billing.
- $96 per year with yearly billing.

BYOK does not need a TypeAside subscription or account. Your provider handles usage and billing. Configure it under Transcription.
