Expand a spoken trigger into reusable text.

Create a snippet

  1. Open Snippets and choose New snippet.
  2. Enter a Trigger, such as “my meeting link”.
  3. Enter the text that should replace it.
  4. Choose Save.

Dictate the trigger in a sentence or on its own. TypeAside expands snippets after dictation cleanup. Triggers match without case sensitivity and at word boundaries. Longer triggers are checked first.

Choose a distinctive phrase that your transcription provider recognizes reliably. A phrase you say in ordinary conversation may expand when you did not intend it to.

Change or remove a snippet

Click an existing snippet to edit it. Choose Save to keep changes or Delete to remove it.
